Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act Broadband Programs: Public Virtual Listening Session #3

This listening session will focus on the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program. NTIA will provide a deep dive into the BEAD program and its parameters under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). NTIA will also provide an opportunity for attendees to provide live feedback on the following policy questions:

  1. What criteria should subgrantees be required to meet to demonstrate that they are financially, technically, and operationally capable of deploying and operating broadband network infrastructure pursuant to the BEAD program?
  2. How should NTIA define the term “eligible subscriber” for purposes of the BEAD program’s low-cost broadband service option requirement?
  3. To what extent should BEAD funding be utilized to fund deployment of middle-mile infrastructure?
  4. What processes and requirements should NTIA put in place to ensure transparency, accountability, and oversight of BEAD funding?

Due to the high degree of interest in our NTIA Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) Broadband Programs: Public Virtual Listening Session #3 event, there could be issues logging into the session. If you have problems or for those that are unable to attend the event, the full recording of the listening session will be posted on the BroadbandUSA website within 7 days of the event.
