Project activities include:
Deploying outdoor Wi-Fi community access at 30 strategic locations and anchor institutions in King Cove, Alaska;
Providing public access internet service with unlimited usage for residents; and
Conducting workshops and training sessions to promote broadband use and adoption.
This project will:
- Provide reliable and high-speed internet connectivity throughout King Cove;
- Enable remote work, online education, and telemedicine, addressing needs heightened by the COVID-19 pandemic; and
Increase broadband use and adoption among community members.
The Agdaagux Tribe of King Cove will expand community connectivity by deploying 30 public Wi-Fi access points throughout King Cove and providing unlimited-use public internet access for residents. The Tribe will also deliver broadband use and adoption workshops and training sessions to support use of the new network resources.
