Project Purpose/Type:
This Planning, Engineering, Feasibility, and Sustainability Studies project will focus on the pre-construction planning, engineering, design, and permitting of last mile network services to two Alaska Native Villages in the Consortium. The grant will create a shovel ready project to build broadband networks in the consortium communities of Minto and Manley Hot Springs.

Project activities include:
- Producing final design drawings of the broadband network.
- Create bills of materials for equipment necessary to construct the network.
- Generate NEPA, Section 106, FAA, FCC, State and Tribal permits required to construct the network.
The project outcomes will result in completed engineering design drawings, bills of materials, and permits required to construct the broadband networks in Minto and Manley Hot Springs.
This project will benefit 240 Tribal member households, 12 community anchor institutions, and 16 Tribal businesses. Approximately 40% of Tribal members live below the 150% federal poverty line.
