Project activities include:
Designing, planning, and constructing a fiber-to-the-premise network, including backbone fiber routes, last-mile drops to individual homes, and necessary facilities to house critical network equipment; and
Providing reliable, high-speed broadband service to approximately 140 unserved and underserved Tribal households, 8 businesses, and 1 Community Anchor Institution located on or near Bishop Paiute Tribal lands.
This project will:
- Deliver high-speed broadband service offering up to 1 Gbps symmetric speeds for residential customers;
- Establish a scalable, future-proof network capable of serving additional households, businesses, and community anchor institutions across the Bishop Paiute reservation over time; and
- Expand access to affordable internet service, enabling critical online activities such as distance learning, telework, and telehealth services for Tribal members.
The Bishop Paiute Tribe’s project will deliver fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP) service to approximately 140 Tribal households, along with 8 businesses and 1 Community Anchor Institution.
