The project will distribute FTTH fiber cable to the 40 homesites and two public facilities on Colony trust lands. The project will use 5G and 4G equipment on the tower to provide broadband speeds to all unserved and underserved persons in the service area, using both fiber and wireless provisioning. The tower, facilities, equipment, and operations will be located on the southwest corner of the 20-acre parcel, which is the middle of the residential area of the City of Winnemucca.
The proposed project will provide broadband services to unserved and underserved homes and businesses of the 519 Native Americans in the Phase I portion of the service area.
