Project Purpose/Type:
The proposed Infrastructure Deployment and Planning, Engineering, Feasibility, and Sustainability Studies project will fund complete environmental technical studies and compliance documents, as well as design and engineering to support future deployment of a future fixed wireless solution that will serve the communities of the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma, Modoc Nation, Ottawa Indian Tribe of Oklahoma, Shawnee Tribe, and the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma. The Infrastructure Deployment project will connect Native American households, Tribal businesses, and Tribal Community Anchor Institutions within the communities of the Modoc Nation, Ottawa Indian Tribe of Oklahoma, and the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma using an existing network of fixed wireless towers with qualifying broadband at or above 25/3 Mbps.

Project activities include:
- Planning, Engineering and Environmental Studies for future deployment of a fixed wireless build for all five tribes.
- Deployment of fixed wireless solution using eight existing towers to connect Native American households, Tribal Businesses, and Community Anchor Institutions within three of the five communities.
The project outcomes will result in a fully designed shovel ready project that will serve all five tribal communities. Additionally, the Infrastructure Deployment project will connect Native American households, Tribal Businesses, and Community Anchor Institutions within three of the five communities with qualifying broadband service at or above 25/3 Mbps.
This project will benefit approximately 86 Tribal member households, 17 community anchor institutions, and 5 Tribal businesses. Approximately 22% of Tribal members live below the 150% federal poverty line.
