Project activities include:
Providing direct payment for qualifying broadband service for four years and over 1,000 end-user devices to Catawba citizens for four years;
Offering training and certification opportunities to build broadband use and adoption and workforce capacity;
Creating a public computer lab with four workstations; and
Implementing an Electronic Health Records system for the Catawba Division of Health and Human Services to enable further telehealth services.
This project will:
- Provide Catawba citizens with access to affordable, high-speed broadband services; and
- Provide technological tools and critical trainings to prepare Catawba citizens for educational and employment opportunities.
The Catawba Indian Nation will provide broadband service support for four years, distribute more than 1,000 end-user devices, establish training and certification programs, create a public computer lab, and implement an Electronic Health Records system to expand digital access for Tribal members.
