Project activities include:
Providing bill payment support for qualifying broadband service for a period of five years and end-user devices for 40 Tribal families;
Upgrading connection equipment and workstations at the Tribal Administrative Facility; and
Outfitting an internet café to provide an area for Tribal members to have broadband access.
This project will:
- Enable Tribal members to subscribe to the new high-speed broadband available in New Kent County, Virginia; and
- Provide community members a dedicated, reliable, place to receive broadband access in the Tribal Administrative Facility.
The Chickahominy Indian Tribe – Eastern Division will provide bill-payment support for qualifying broadband service for five years, distribute end-user devices to 40 Tribal families, upgrade equipment at the Tribal Administrative Facility, and outfit an internet café to provide community broadband access.
