Project activities include:
Installing computers, audio-visual equipment, and other necessary technology in the community training center;
Designing and implementing technical training programs covering basic to advanced broadband use and adoption; and
Conducting community outreach to inform residents about available resources and training opportunities.
This project will:
- Provide Chickahominy Indian Tribe citizens with access to reliable, high-speed internet; computers; and digital equipment; and
- Improve basic and advanced broadband use and adoption among community members, including the ability to perform online tasks such as job searching, online learning, and accessing telehealth services.
The Chickahominy Indian Tribe will establish a community digital training center equipped with computers and audiovisual technology, offer technical training programs ranging from basic to advanced skills, and deliver community outreach to increase awareness of available digital resources.
