Project activities include:
Constructing approximately 228 miles of buried fiber throughout the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma project service area;
Providing reliable, high-speed broadband service to approximately 330 Tribal households, 3 businesses, and 2 Community Anchor Institutions; and
Recruiting and training approximately 15 Choctaw Nation members to support construction of the network and build local telecommunications workforce capacity.
This project will:
- Deliver high-speed broadband service offering up to 10 Gbps symmetric speeds for residential customers;
- Create workforce development opportunities by providing training positions to upskill Tribal members for telecommunications careers; and
- Deploy a future-proof fiber network that strengthens long-term infrastructure resilience and ensures secure, reliable broadband access in rural areas.
The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma will extend fiber-to-the-premise service to approximately 330 Tribal households, 3 businesses, and 2 Community Anchor Institutions.
