This Use and Adoption project will create digital training opportunities, community internet connection resources, and provide financial assistance for broadband service for Yakama Nation members.

Project activities include:
Creating digital training activities at the Yakama Nation Library and equipping a tech van to bring training to the community in remote areas;
Making 150 loaner hot spots available through the Yakama Nation Library for remote households to receive connectivity;
Providing financial assistance for at-home internet installation and monthly service fees for a period of 24 months for approximately 518 households; and
Providing financial assistance to prevent internet shut-off at approximately 200 Tribal households per year for a period of 48 months.
This project will:
- Enable Tribal members to access qualifying broadband services and prevent service shut-off; and
- Increase Tribal members’ access to telehealth, education, job training, job searches, and remote learning opportunities.
The Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation will create digital training opportunities through the Tribal library and a mobile tech van, make 150 loaner hotspots available, provide financial assistance for internet installation and monthly service fees for approximately 518 households, and offer support to prevent internet shut-off for about 200 households per year.
