Included in the infrastructure proposal is the purchase of 2.5 GHz compatible fixed wireless access solution equipment and customer premises equipment to reach the hardest to serve Akwesasne residents and add mobile coverage for emergency communications. The radios will be mounted at an existing tower site owned by the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe and maintained by Mohawk Networks, LLC.
The infrastructure proposals for residential and mobile communications for first responders through deployment of 2.5 GHz wireless infrastructure will provide higher availability and connectivity at minimum speeds of 25/3 Mbps with latency between 15 ms to 40 ms to the 30 currently unserved households within the community.
The beneficiaries of this program will be the Tribal residents and first responders of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe. They will benefit from the deployment of the 2.5 GHz wireless infrastructure that will add greater mobile coverage for emergency communications and provide broadband access to reach the hardest to serve Akwesasne residents.
