The Sault Tribe will implement a “Sault Tribe Adoption Subsidy Program” (Program), a broadband subsidy program to partially cover costly broadband subscriptions for Tribal households. The Sault Tribe will make direct prepayments on behalf of Tribal households to participating internet service providers.
The Tribe’s Program will subsidize the costs of broadband subscriptions to qualifying Tribal members, providing affordable broadband to 1,102 Native American households. The project will provide access to affordable broadband, enabling telework, distance learning, digital skills acquisition, and job retraining activities.
The project will benefit 1,102 Tribal households.
