This Broadband Infrastructure Deployment project will enhance Wi-Fi infrastructure located on Tribal land and seek to enhance opportunities to utilize the Tribe’s recently secured FCC 2.5 GHz license.

Project activities include:
- Build out remaining 20% of broadband network within the Cattaraugus Territory not funded by previous projects supporting FTTP network and providing wireless networks to Tribal households.
- Construct 2 fiber huts that will house Calix equipment.
- Provide wireless infrastructure for public Wi-Fi in community anchor institutions.
- Establish wireless connections through equipment purchase for last mile connections.
Tribal members will have access to free public Wi-Fi at community anchor institutions. Additionally, this project will utilize the purchase of Calix equipment to support end user connections within Tribal residences and businesses.
The project will benefit 1,904 Tribal households with the Tribe’s Cattaraugus Territory, 35.7% of which live below the 150% federal poverty line.
