Project activities include:
Providing financial assistance for monthly service fees for a period of 36 months end for approximately 1,207 households;
Providing 400 fixed broadband units for members residing in areas with challenging terrain for broadband access; and
Creating an internship program to host one intern from the Sitting Bull College each semester of the academic year for three years.
This project will:
- Provide Tribal members with access to qualifying broadband services; and
- Promote broadband use and adoption and foster the transformative potential of broadband in communication, education, and economic opportunities.
Standing Rock Telecommunications will provide financial assistance for broadband service fees for approximately 1,207 households for 36 months, distribute 400 fixed broadband units for households in challenging terrain, and operate an internship program with Sitting Bull College.
