This Broadband Use and Adoption project proposes to increase broadband speeds and capacity to deliver 100 Mbps down/50 Mbps up to the Technology Center to serve the community.

The project proposes the following activities designed to improve access to, and use of, broadband services among Tribal Members:
- Provide computer equipment, network connections, and IT support management by Snowcloud Services, LLC.
- Implement an on-site telemedicine program that includes user-friendly telemedicine machines that allow users to transmit healthcare information to specialists.
- Funding for the Technology Center that will provide extended hours and fund staff to support and assist Tribal and other community members in broadband adoption literary and facilitate computer use by the public.
This project will expand Hoonah members’ access to essential communications and services relating to telehealth, distance learning, digital literacy, and workforce development.
The project intends to benefit community members utilizing the available resources at the Technology Center. In addition, there will be distance learning for the Hoonah Native language and Native cultural preservation and educational activities, which are important to the applicant, the Hoonah Indian Association (HIA), and its more than 1,235 enrolled Tribal members.
