Project Purpose/Type:
The Broadband Infrastructure Deployment project proposes to install middle mile and last mile fiber and last mile fixed wireless directly connecting 408 unserved Native American households with fiber-to-the-home 100 Mbps/100 Mbps service.

The project proposes the following activities designed to improve access to, and use of, broadband services among Tribal members:
- To install 16.3 miles of middle mile fiber.
- To install fiber-to-the-home to 328 Tribal households and to 5 district lodges.
- To install fixed wireless to 80 Tribal households.
- Develop a plan to create a Tribal ISP for long term sustainability.
- Develop a Tribal utility code that will support the Tribal ISP.
This project will:
- Develop and supply broadband to 408 Tribal households on the Fort Hall Reservation for telemedicine, education, business, and future services.
- Provide broadband to each of the 5 district lodges for access to telehealth, distance learning, governance, civic participation, and tribal member internet access.
- The project will create 105 Tribal jobs, including 5 ISP staff.
The project intends to benefit Tribal residents, students, adult learners, and district governance.
