The project proposes the following activities designed to improve access to, and use of, broadband services among Tribal members:
- Backhaul will come from 4 existing Centranet fiberhuts.
- Create a new fiber optic network.
- Offer workforce development opportunities.
This project will:
- Provide all Tribal households, plus businesses, and anchor institutions with 1000/1000 Mbps Internet service that is affordable, resilient, scalable, reliable, and future-proofed.
- Open opportunities available in the digital economy.
- Enhance and expand telehealth services.
- Make e-learning available.
- Expand hybrid school and work model options.
- Increase economic growth.
- Improve the overall quality of life for Tribe members.
The project intends to benefit: Tribal residents, employers and employees, adult learners, K-12+ students, educators, health care providers, and their patients.
