Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program
Overview
The Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program is a $3 billion program directed to tribal governments to be used for broadband deployment on tribal lands, as well as for telehealth, distance learning, broadband affordability, and digital inclusion.
The Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program is continuing to make the final awards from the first funding round and has opened an additional application period with approximately $1 billion available for eligible Tribal applicants.

IIJA Broadband Program Pre-NOFO Technical Assistance Webinar 5: Supply Chain and Workforce Development
On May 11, staff from NTIA’s Office of Internet Connectivity and Growth (OICG) held a fifth technical assistance webinar prior to the release of the Notice of Funding Opportunity for the broadband programs authorized under the Broadband Infrastructure Law (BIL), also known as the Infrastructure and Investment Jobs Act (IIJA). On November 15, 2021, President Biden signed the BIL into law, which includes a significant investment of $65 billion to help close the digital divide and ensure that all Americans have access to reliable, high speed, and affordable internet.

On March 23, staff from NTIA’s Office of Internet Connectivity and Growth held the second technical assistance webinar prior to the release of the Notice of Funding Opportunity for the Infrastructure and Investment Jobs Act broadband programs. On November 15, 2021, President Biden signed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act into law. This Act includes a significant investment of $65 billion to help close the digital divide and ensure that all Americans have access to reliable, high speed, and affordable broadband.

NTIA Grant Program: Tribal Broadband Connectivity Webinar, Session 6
On August 23 and 24, staff from NTIA’s BroadbandUSA program held webinars to provide attendees an opportunity to ask questions related to the Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program (TBCP), as the application deadline approaches. The TBCP intends to make $980 million in awards to Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian Entities for broadband deployment as well as for telehealth, distance learning, broadband affordability, and digital inclusion.
